This category treats waist, blood sugar, and cholesterol as three readouts of one engine. That is the whole argument. Separate wars fail. A food war fails. A plan you cannot keep on a Tuesday fails. Most people are handed three pamphlets that disagree. The lists produce swings. Swings produce a speech about willpower. Willpower is a poor glucose strategy. Pattern is the strategy.

I write as a physician, not as your physician. Nothing here diagnoses you. Nothing here tells you to start, stop, or change a medicine. If you take prescription drugs, that conversation belongs to your own doctor. If you have been told you have diabetes, prediabetes, fatty liver, or high cholesterol, follow the plan you already have and use these notes as a way to think, not as a replacement. The engine and a prescription are allowed to coexist. That is the opposite of a war.

What you get is a humane order of operations. Plate. Walk. Waist. Then the lab conversation with your own clinician. Keep the biryani. Keep the burgers. Change the pattern around them. Track the belt more than you track virtue. Sleep like it is part of the method, because it is. The Metabolic Triad Planner on this site is the companion desk to You Don’t Have to Choose. The numbers you enter stay on your device. The desk will not diagnose. It will not prescribe. It will help you see one system instead of three pamphlets.

Read this if you are tired of being told to pick a war. Then open the triad and build a plan you can actually run on a week you actually have. Size the method to a Tuesday, not to a perfect week. The readouts will follow the engine. The pamphlets will still disagree. You do not have to attend their war.

Short answers

Why treat waist, A1c, and LDL together?
They are three readouts of one engine. Separate wars fail. Change the weekly pattern and the readouts often move together.
Do I have to give up the food I like?
No. Keep the cuisine. Change portion and frequency before you change identity. A plan you cannot run on a Tuesday is not a plan.
Will you tell me which medicine to take?
No. Nothing here is a prescription. Do not start, stop, or change a medicine because of a post. Talk to your own clinician.
What is the triad planner?
A companion desk to You Don’t Have to Choose. Enter a few numbers. The plan stays on your device. Educational only. Not medical advice.

Educational only. Not medical advice. Do not start, stop, or change medicine because of a post. Talk to your own physician. Disclosures.
